FAQ: Win CE Versions:
Linked edit controls no longer operate when tapped on (Win CE only):
Upgrading to Win CE controls:

The WinCE control versions are drop-in replacements for earlier versions. No modifications need to be made to your Palm application.
However, when using this control with the WinCE/PocketPC platform, edit controls linked to the control cannot be read-only. The Palm version of the control will automatically set the control to read-only if AllowEdits is false. This feature is for Palm/WinCE compatibility.

FAQ: To users of Palm OS 3.5 or Satellite Forms 4.1+
Edit controls no longer operate when tapped on:

Invisible controls (such as the Alpha Keypad, Input Box, Num Keypad or Time Picker) can no longer be placed in front or behind the edit controls on your forms. You must place the control elsewhere on the screen or the edit control will no longer operate.
Users of these controls can change the ResizableX and ResizableY properties in the .inf file to 1. This allows you to resize the controls and make then smaller in order to place them in an unused area of the form. New controls already have this option set.

Alpha Keypad Control V1.1 (9KB)

The Alpha keypad extension pops up a full sized keypad like the Full alpha-numeric keypad similar to the Numeric Keypad extension. See the Numeric Keypad extension below for some of the features. Unzip this file into a temporary directory and make sure you read the Readme_Ureg.txt file. This extension requires Satellite Forms 2.0 Developer Edition or greater. (see note above)

• Input Box Extension V2.0 (30KB) PALM & Win CE

Version 2.0 Palm and Win CE versions available!

Allows users to enter data from a dialog box. Displays 1 to 3 buttons with user definable captions. Can be linked to Satellite Forms edit controls. The input field can be disabled, allowing user to select from the buttons. The buttons and the form are automatically sized to hold the proper information. Many other features are demonstrated in the example. (see note above)

Numeric Keypad Control V1.1 (8KB)

The Numeric keypad extension pops up a full sized keypad like the calculator for the user to enter a number. This extension has global functions as well as a control that you can link to the edit controls in your Satellite Forms applications. This control also looks for events from the Symbol Technologies SPT-1500 and automatically hits the enter key, closing the form when a scan is received. This allows continuous scanning with the option of entering a quantity by hand. See the sample application NumKeypadSPT1500.sfa. This requires the Symbol extension and will only run on a SPT-1500. There is another sample that does not require the SPT-1500. Unzip this file into a temporary directory and make sure you read the Readme_Ureg.txt file. This extension requires Satellite Forms 2.0 Developer Edition or greater.  (see note above)

Time Picker Control V3.0 (25 KB) PALM & Win CE

Version 3.0 Palm and Win CE versions available!

This control / extension is a pop-up that can be linked to an edit control and used to enter time. The pop-up can also be called from a script function. This control has many options such as: AllowEdits, EmptyOnly, Enabled, UseCurrTime, StartPos. Try the time picker and the sample application to see how the control works. Requires Satellite Forms with engine Version 2.0.12 or greater. Unzip this file into a temporary directory and make sure you read the Readme_Ureg.txt file. This extension requires Satellite Forms 2.0 Developer Edition or greater. (see note above)

Additional functions have been added since V1.5. Download the trial version to see what's new. You'll find new functions in the ReadMe_Ureg.text document. You can also examine the .inf file. Newer functions may not be used in the sample application. Also, make sure you re-compile the sample application before running.

Licensing terms for Satellite Forms Extensions

The the Single Developer licensing terms are that you are free to distribute the .prc file(s) necessary to run the extension on the handheld, but not the other files used by the AppDesigner (.inf file, etc.).

The registered version of the .prc file eliminates the about screen that appears in the unregistered versions. The .inf file, bitmap file, or any file other than the .prc file are for use by a single developer only and may not be redistributed. Each registered version of the extension is licensed to only one single developer.
